Hire the all terrain mobility scooter for easy access to the Tamar Trails…
The Tamar Trails Centre with its cafe and interpretation centre are easily accessible to wheelchair users, and a disabled toilet is also available.
The Trails themselves are not particularly wheelchair friendly, so this off road scooter is available for hire, and allows good access to a large proportion of the trails. In order to hire the scooter users are required to be a member of the Countryside Mobility Scheme, at a cost of £10 per year. Tramper hire is then an additional £2.50 per hour.
The scooter is available to hire at weekends and all school holidays from February to October.
It is essential to call ahead to book the Tramper and all first time users are advised that it is necessary to book a training session beforehand to ensure their safety.
All well behaved dogs are welcome at the Tamar Trails and on the trails themselves, and none more so than assist dogs.
