South West Riders are orgainsing a fun horse ride around the Tamar Trails.
Date: Sunday 3rd April 2016
Time: 10am to 12pm.
Cost: £15 per adult, £10 under sixteen
The majority of the route will be on the Tamar Trails, a 25 km network of multi-use trails in the Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which have been created in the old mining area of Devon Great Consols visit tamartrails.co.uk.
The route will be marked, and riders go at their own pace. Consisting of 3 different loops, with a maximum distance of approx. 14.5 km, but it can be shortened if required. Rosettes for every rider.
We have special permission from Tavistock Woodlands estate to park at the Chimney site, on the northern side of the trails, which will be signed from Gulworthy roundabout on A390 west of Tavistock.
Refreshments will be available to buy at the Beech Café in the
Tamar Trails car park about two thirds of the way round the ride.
Profits will be divided between the Tamar Community Trust for upkeep
of the Trails and South West Riders who are working to improve off road riding.
Walkers and cyclists may be on the route so we would ask all riders to watch out
for other users and to be considerate and courteous at all times.
