Job Title Casual Instructor
Based at Tamar Trails Centre , Gulworthy
Reports to Duty manager and or Company Directors
Contract Fixed term between March and October
Reward Package
Hourly Rate: £7.15 per hour (including holiday pay) for over 21’s and £5.65 for over 18’s
Holiday Entitlement: 28 days holiday (pro rata) has been included in hourly rate above.
Flexible Working Hours: A range of casual hours are available. Weekend and bank holiday are standard working days. Work is available from February 2016 to October 2016.
Training: All training will be provided
Job Role
To assist in successfully running the site, including all aspects of the operation pertaining to equipment, facilities, health and safety, customer care and administration.
To meet the requirements of the role, all instructors need to successfully complete Tree Surfers in-house training program. You will be required to work unsupervised at height and therefore need to meet our minimum health and safety requirements.
Your duties will include the instruction and delivery of all of activities on site.
Person Requirements
Essential

- Excellent communication skills
- Must be an enthusiastic team player and be able to work with other colleagues in a dynamic working environment

- Must love working outdoors and have a good head for heights
- Must be able to demonstrate attention to detail and diligently follow company procedures
- Be able to get to and from site under their own steam, either with own transport or public transport.
Previous experience is not a requirement as all training will be provided on site, however see ‘Desirable’ below.
Desirable
- Previous instructional experience
- Climbing or high ropes experience
- Computer literate
Job Title Duty Manager
Based at Tamar Trails Centre , Gulworthy

Training: All training will be provided
Job Role
Oversee all aspects of the daily running of the Centre
- Supervise staff team during day
- Take bookings and payment face to face and on the phone
- Deal with all customer enquiries and complaints
- Generate end of day activity reports including point of sale
- Open and lock up building
- Deal with any incidents on site
- Ensure site and team ready and able to deliver high quality activities and experiences
Work available from 13th Feb onwards including weekends and school holidays through to October 2016.
Person Requirements
- Have proven experience of staff supervision
- To be customer focused with excellent communication skills
- Organised with good IT skills
- Retail experience preferable
- Must be an enthusiastic team player and be able to work with other colleagues in a dynamic working environment
- High energy levels with a cheerful disposition and the ability to work under pressure
- Must be available either Saturdays or Sundays or both.
Job Title Canoe Guide
Based at Tamar Trails Centre , Gulworthy

Job Role
To lead or assist in the running of 3 hour guided canoe trips on the river Tamar. This includes all aspects of the operation pertaining to equipment, facilities, health and safety, customer care and administration.
Work will be available from March 2016 through to September 2016
Person Requirements
Essential
To Lead – BCU Level 3 Canoe or UKCC 4 star with current FSRT and knowledge of tides
To assist – 2/3 star canoe plus UKCC Level 1 coach
