Devon Great Consols… Then & Now – Guided Walk

Join a guided walk along some of the Tamar Trails network to explore the restored industrial remains at Devon Great Consols mine, the biggest copper mine in Europe just 100 years ago. Rick Stewart, Mining Historian, will explain all about one of the most important mines of the Tamar Valley area. Walk is steep in some sections but on a good trail surface.     COVID-19 UPDATE June 2020

    The Trails and car park are open every day, dawn till dusk.

    The Beech Cafe, bike hire and toilets will open again on Saturday 18th July.

    Tree Surfers activities and archery  will open again on Saturday 18th July.

    Canoe trips will start again from 4th July.

    All activities including Tree Surfers, archery, bike hire and canoe trips must be booked in advance.
